Who can enter?
This competition is open to teams of four from any part of the cleaning industry. The competition is open to the following level:
Open: This level of entry takes into account the fact that many sectors do not recruit from particular types and levels of qualifications.
About the competition
The competition will showcase cleaning as a team effort. Teams will comprise of two cleaning operatives, one supervisor and one manager.
This team must complete a cleaning challenge in three hours.
There is an assessment fee to enter this competition payable to Asset Skills.
Competitors will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Site survey and risk assessment
- Estimating and costing
- Work planning and allocation
- Supervision and monitoring
- Training and development
- Cleaning processes
- Health and safety
Competition Structure
Stage one: visit www.teamclean.assetskills.net for more information and to enter by 23 April 2010
Stage two: competitors will be invited to participate in a live heat in May/June 2010.
Stage three: highest scoring competitors across all heats that meet the required standard will be invited to compete at the UK final in June / July 2010.
How many competitors can enter from each organisation?
There are no restrictions on the number of teams that can be entered.
Competition partners
The competition is called Team Clean Challenge and is organised by Asset Skills in conjunction with British Institute of Cleaning, Science, Cleaning and Services Support Association and HM Prison Service.
