Who can enter?
The competition is aimed at Foundation Level: NVQ Level 1, GCSEs D-G, Open College Network Entrey and Level 1+, NOCN Step UP and ASDAN Entry Level 1+.
About the competition
This is a new competition which will test the skills development of teams of young people in the delivery of small environmental regeneration projects. Local community regeneration projects require a mix of horticulture, landscaping, project design, conservation, community consultation, health and safety and basic construction techniques.
Competitors will be assessed on the following:
The competition will assess the broad mix of required skills at a very basic level through the delivery of a 'live' environmental project which will add value to an actual community regeneration project.
The winning team will receive a cash prize to donate to a local environmental project of their choice.
Competition dates and locations:
To be confirmed. The final live competition event will be held in the Spring 2010.
