Who can enter?
The competition is designed for young people and adults from 16 years to 23 years. Competitors should have completed AAT Accountancy Level 2 or equivalent and be working towards AAT Accountancy Level 3.
About the competition
This competition will reflect typical aspects of work and responsibilities carried out by AAT Accountancy qualified students.
The competition will last for 3 hours and each team will be provided with a USB pen stick which contains work that needs to be undertaken during the competition. A range of both technical knowledge and working skills will need to be demonstrated by all team members.
Competitors will be required to demonstrate competence in:
- Technical knowledge
- Sales: processing sales invoices
- Purchases: processing purchase invoices
- Books of prime entry: completion of petty cash book
- Transactions and working skills.
Competition dates and locations
The Welsh competition on 31 March 2010 will be at Sketty Hall, Swansea College.
