Who can enter?
The competition is intended for those training or working in a health and social care setting supporting adults of any age. Competitors can be in education and training or working in industry. The competition is open to the following levels:
Advanced: those undertaking qualifications up to level 3 or up to five years experience in a working environment.
About the competition
The competition promotes the skills and knowledge required to work in the sector of health and social care. Competitors will work to a set brief where they will be able to demonstrate their theoretical knowledge and skills in a live competition environment.
Competitors will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Communication and promoting choice
- Health, safety and diversity
- Reflection on and development of own practice
Competition structure:
Stage one: enter online by 19 March 2010
Stage two: download and submit screening test
Stage three: highest scoring competitors that meet the required standard will be invited to compete at the UK final.
How many competitors can enter from each organisation?
Three competitors per organisation.
